GROVE CITY, Ohio — JoAnn Callaway Williams, 63, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away from an extended illness Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at her home.

Born October 3, 1949, at Chauncey, she was a daughter of the late Laden Sr. and Martha Jane Vance Callaway. Also preceding her in death washer husband, Alfred E. Williams; one daughter, Beverly Shawn Williams; three sisters, Mary H. Belcher, Ethel Johnson and Dorothy Mounts, and six brothers, L.T. Nathan, William, Edward, Frank, Laden Jr. and Madison Callaway.

JoAnn worked as an office employee for Island Creek Coal Company and The Logan Banner and retired from Pittston Coal Company. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Freewill Baptist Church before moving to Ohio where she became an active member of a local church in Grove City. Joann loved to crochet; one special piece she made was an American Flag. She also loved spending time with her nieces.

Survivors include three sisters, Carol (James) Kumler of Florida, Juanita (Earl) Truax of Ohio and Sarah Callaway of Texas; and one brother, Elmer Callaway of Lincoln County.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at the Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mansfield Dameron officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
