CROOKED CREEK, W.Va. — Ramon “Ray” Glenn Morris, 60, of Crooked Creek, joined the Lord in Heaven Saturday, June 23, 2012.
Born May 28, 1952, in Jasper, Ala., he was a son of Margaret Romine of Springville, Ala., and the late Robert Morris of Hollywood, Fla. Also preceding him in death were his stepfathers Ralph Ford and Willard “Bill” Romine; brother, Michael “Mike” Ford; mother-and father-in-law, Annabelle and James Kinder, and his best fishing buddy, Rick Harrison.
Throughout his life, Ray served in the U.S. Army. His love of motor vehicles was expressed through his long term occupation as a mechanic. Later he worked for the Logan County EMT services. Outside of his contributions to the community, he enjoyed fishing, playing guitar at church, singing and especially was delighted to spend quality time with his family.
Ray was the husband to the love of his life, Carolyn Kinder Morris, for 41 years. He was an inspiration to his three children, Lisa (Brian) Case, Christy (Danny) Scites and Jamie Morris, and his grandchildren, Brittany Michelle, Jessica Danielle, Patrick Eugene, Kristen Elizabeth-Marie, Alexis Paige and Elijah Edward. He is also survived by his siblings, Dale (Mary) Morris, Paula (Harold) Kiley, Ralph (Reba) Ford and Sonja (Danny) Wallace, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, June, 27, at the Crooked Creek Church of Christ with the Rev. Tim Secrist, Randy Adams and Tom Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
