GALLIPOLIS, Ohio — Virginia “Boots” Miller Mann, 81, of Gallipolis Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2009, following a short illness, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born March 4, 1927, in Logan, she was a daughter of the late Adern and Victoria Sansom Miller. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Raymond Mann; sister, Maxine (Joe) Robinson and nephew, Dale (Joyce) Haney.

Virginia married Raymond in 1945 and, although never having any children, they enjoyed many nieces and nephews, and a very large extended family from all over the nation. They also enjoyed a loving life together for over 50 years and had many dear friends.

Survivors include a brother, Alvin Hall of Marmet; sister, Beatrice Adkins of Kenova; sister-in-law, Marvel (Russell) Haney of Bidwell; nephews and nieces, James (Terry) Mann of Painesville, Ohio, Roger (Lorraine) Mann of Mentor, Ohio, Delbert (Ginger) Haney of Calif., Darrell (Judy) Haney of Bidwell, Thelma (Joe) Robinson of Baltimore Md., Carol (Jack) Oney of Canal Fulton, Ohio, James Marcum of Chicago, Ill., Dennis (Evelyn) Miller of Columbus, Ohio, Hansel (Janice ) Miller and Barbara Ross, both of Mt. Gay, and an aunt, Irma Fling of Virginia.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 8, at the Gallia Baptist Church with Rev. Cline Rawlins officiating. Burial will follow in Gallia Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday, February 7, at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home in Oak Hill, Ohio.
