Lady Cats come back to down TV

Erica Kelley scored 12 points and Jessica Bias 10 as the Logan High School girls’ basketball team got past Tug Valley, 41-35, on Friday night at Logan’s Willie Akers Arena.

Logan won the third time this season and improved to 3-12.

Tug Valley led the Lady Cats 12-7 after one quarter, 18-11 at the half and 30-25 after three.

Logan, though, outpointed the Lady Panthers 16-5 in the fourth to notch the win.

Tabby Mounts scored 17 points for Tug Valley. Katherine Endicott notted seven.

Katie Chryssofos and Rojet Lowe tallied seven each for Logan.

Faydra Martin had three and Leonnah Browning two.

Logan has a makeup game on Monday at home against county rival Chapmanville. Game time is 7 p.m.

The Lady Cats beat the Lady Tigers 43-36 earlier in the season at Chapmanville.

Logan then is set to host Williamson on Wednesday and go to Wayne next Friday before playing at Man on Feb. 18 at 1 p.m.
