ROBINETTE, W.Va. — Michael David Daniels, 63, of Robinette, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 30, 2012, from the home of his daughter after a short illness.

Born December 7, 1948, at Logan, he was a son of the late Jay and Flossie Moore Daniels. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Donald Jack Daniels; his mother-in-law, JoAnn McClellan Mills, and his brother-in-law, Charles Rice Sr.

Mike was a disabled LPN, formerly employed with Pioneer Medical at Man. He was a member of the Mallory Church of God where he served as the Worship Leader. During those years, in addition to singing solo gospel music, he also sang with the Evangeleers, The Living Waters Quartet, The Crossmen, The Kinsman, The Harvest Trio, One Purpose, and his most treasured group, The Daniels Family. Devoted to his church family, Mike loved working in the church and was very active in all church activities. He was an outstanding husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family with all of his heart.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 36 years, Kathy Mills Daniels; one daughter, Erica Ruth (Lee) Wooten of Davin; three grandsons, Roger Lee Wooten III, Eric Michael Wooten and Nathanael Perry Wooten, all of Davin; two sisters, Gertrude Rice of Davin and Dixie (Robert) Frazier of Robinette; father-in-law, Okie Mills of Accoville; one sister-in-law, Kim (Kenny) Roberts of Accoville; and one brother-in-law, Larry (Evelyn) Mills of Kistler; nieces and nephews, Toni (Leslie) Belcher, Kathi Keck, and Chuck (Lisa) Rice, all of Davin, Renee (Randy) Smith of Sophia, Debbie (J.C.) Holly of Man, Pam (Slick) Nelson of Robinette, Jason (Tara) Mills and Jaclyn (Anthony) Bailey, both of Accoville, Timmy (Joyce) Mills of Mallory, and Jared Sturgell of Accoville; several great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, at the Mallory Church of God with Rev. Shaun Walker and Brother Butch Stacy officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Pallbearers will be the men of the Mallory Church of God.
