LINDA ELSWICK
ELK CREEK, W.Va. — Linda E. Morgan Elswick, 67, of Elk Creek, went to join her husband, James, in Heaven Monday, July 2, 2012, after a brief illness.
Born June 26, 1945, at Elk Creek, she was a daughter of the late Wirt and Ethel Kennedy Morgan. Also preceding her in death was her loving husband of 47 years, James F. Elswick; four sisters, Gay Brown, Ester Cline, Betty Toler and Laura Toler; two brothers, Wirt Morgan Jr. and Charles Morgan, and one special nephew, Denny Toler.
Linda was a homemaker and a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, James “Buck” Elswick of Elk Creek; four daughters, Gail (Billy) Hall of North Springs, Rhonda (Gordan) Hale of Lorado, Marsha (Darnell) Gravley of Spice Creek, and Trisha (Eddie) Cline of Verner; three brothers, Ulbert (Helen) Morgan of Taplin, and Donald (Jean) Morgan and Jerry (Darlene) Morgan, both of Elk Creek; 11 grandchildren, Brittany (Mark) Green, Kimberly (Brandon) Adkins, Brandi and Amanda Gravley, Joshua and Lesly Vance, Gordon, Edward, Matthew and John Michael Hale and Keshia (David) Wooten; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at noon Friday, July 6, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tilly Walls officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today and one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
