MARK DEMPSEY
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Mark Finucane Dempsey, 51, of Huntington, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at his home.
Born April 14, 1961, in Washington, DC, he was a son of Ronda Cecilia Lusk Dempsey of Huntington and Douglas M. Dempsey of Abingdon, Va., and stepson of Iva Vance Dempsey of Abingdon.
Mark was a land surveyor by trade and served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a Christian by faith.
Additional survivors include two sisters, a brother-in-law, two nephews and one step-son. Rebecca Ann Dempsey McBrain and Michael “Nicko” Henry McBrain and their son, Justin McBrain of Boca Raton, Fla.; Seneca Dempsey and her son, Mason Douglas Dempsey Kerley of Taylorsville, N.C., and Michael Dudding of Tupelo, Miss., and a host of loving aunts, uncle, nephews and cousins.
Service will be conducted 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, at Chapman’s Mortuary. There will be no burial afterwards.
Visitation will begin two hours prior to services Tuesday at the mortuary. Following the service, a memorial will be held at 2224 Adams Avenue, Huntington.
