CHARLESTON — University of Charleston School of Pharmacy students graduated in May 2012 included the following local students:
• Robert Browning of Verdunville earned a Doctor of Pharmacy, summa cum laude.
• Joshua Castle of Logan earned a Doctor of Pharmacy.
• Katrina Thompson of Chapmanville earned a Doctor of Pharmacy, cum laude.
The University of Charleston School of Pharmacy was founded in 2006, with a mission to prepare pharmacists who will provide comprehensive patient care, advance the profession through research and advocacy, and serve the community as leaders in rural health care. Hallmarks of the program include a close-knit, hands-on learning environment; a new, technology-infused building; and PharmUC, an on-campus provider of medication therapy management and chronic disease education services for patients. The school is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education.
