FRED CRABTREE

ORIENT, Ohio — Fred “Bud” Crabtree, 82 of Orient, Ohio formerly of Monaville departed this life Tuesday, July 24, 2012, following an extended illness.

Born June 24, 1930, in Shamrock, he was a son of the late Ervin and Bell Crabtree. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Haskell Crabtree of Michigan; three sisters, Verlie Gollihue and Dolores Damron of Michigan and Ada Spry of Verdunville, and his loving wife of 52 years, Pauline Crabtree.

Fred was a retired coal miner of Amherst Coal Co. of 25 years. He was of the Pentecostal faith and ministered various local churches. He enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends.

Those left to cherish his memories include one son, Roger Lee Baldwin of Micco; three daughters, Cathy (Jeff) Moore of Orient, where he resided the past 10 years, Debra (Mike) Carroll of Grove City, Ohio, and Shelia (David) Jeffrey of Whitman; three granddaughters, Paula Kirk of Micco, and Stephanie Pepper and Ginger Burcham of Grove City; two grandsons, Kenneth Baldwin of South Point, Ohio, and Joshua Conley of Harts; six great-grandchildren, Brandon, Madison, Tatum, Holly, Zoey and Tuesday, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 27, at James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walter Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of the arrangements.
