Two women were charged with aiding/abetting on July 11, 2012, by W.Va. State Troopers R.E. Stowers and T.D. Boggs for hindering in the apprehension of a wanted felon.

On the above date, WVSP officers were serving an arrest warrant on Andrew Belcher. During the arrest warrant, officers discovered Diana Belcher, 39, of Davin, with Andrew Belcher.

The criminal complaint states that Diana Belcher allegedly had “prior knowledge that he was wanted on felony charges.”

While traveling to serve the warrant on Andrew Belcher, officers were passed by Christy Vance, 34, driving a 93 Chevy Truck “with Andrew Belcher as the passenger.” Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle by Vance failed to stop and “began fleeing these officers.”

The complaint states that the vehicle turned down a dead end street at which time Andrew Belcher fled. Officers also allegedly noticed a small child in the truck with out child restraint and Vance was observed not wearing a seat belt. She was also unable to provide officers with proof of insurance.

Along with aiding/abetting charges, Vance was also charged with fleeing in a vehicle, no seatbelt, no insurance and no child restraint.

Andrew Belcher was apprehended and lodged in Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden. He is being held on criminal charges dating from the years 2007, 2010 and 2011.

In other courthouse news:

• Leroy Hensley Jr., 33, of Chapmanville, was charged with two counts of Sexual Abuse by Parent, Custodian or Guardian by WVSP Cpl. L.D. Hensley on July 24. Leroy Hensley was arraigned before Magistrate Jeff Lane who set bail at $15,000.

• Alvin Ray Gilco, 56, of Accoville, was charged with domestic assault and brandishing a deadly weapon by Logan County Deputies T.R. Brumfield and J.H. Brown on July 24.

• Joseph Ohara Nelson, 53, of Kistler, was charged with Domestic Assault and Domestic Battery by WVSP Tpr. S.A. Belt on July 25.

• Brandi Dawn Gilco, 27, of Davin, was charged with Domestic Assault by WVSP Tpr. S.A. Belt on July 25.
