Born August 13, 1950, at Kistler, he was a beloved son of the late Charlie Creed and Annis Leona Lawrence Gillispie. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Dennis Ray Gillispie, and four sisters, Eva Mae Gillispie, Rosebud Frances Gillispie Young, Betty Irene Gillispie McGuire and Nona Francis Gillispie Rogers.
Micheal was a loving brother, uncle and friend. He loved to attend church, loved carpentry, loved to play his guitar and other musical instruments. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left to love and cherish his memory include three sisters, Opal (Louie) Grimmett, with whom Micheal made his home after their mother passed away in 1988, of Verner, Lois (Clay) Browning of Newark, Del., and Icie (Bill) Gritzinger of Ray, Mich.; two brothers, George M. (Sue) Gillispie of Sterling Heights, Mich., and Charles C. (Sue) Gillispie of Marble Hill, Ga.; many very special friends and neighbors, especially Johnny and Dianna Dean and Danny and Pamela Kegley, and a host of other dear family and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February, 19, at the Verner Community Church with the Rev. James Grimmett and the Rev. Walter Grimmett officiating. Burial will follow in the Browning/Dye Cemetery at Verner.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Mounts Funeral Home of Gilbert is in charge of the arrangements.
