The Logan High School Lady Wildcats won 59-56 at home over Williamson in their regular season home finale.
The Chapmanville Regional High School Lady Tigers went to Point Pleasant and scored a 54-30 blowout victory over the Lady Knights in Cardinal Conference action.
Logan improved to 4-16 on the season, while the Lady Tigers are now 8-12.
Chapmanville led Point Pleasant 14-9 after one quarter, 33-15 at the half and 48-19 after three.
Freshman Kelli Garrett led the Lady Tigers with 14 points, while Lydia Vance had 10. Jenna Vance had nine, Tiffini Hale eight, Cortney Willis six, Poppy Ramey four and Brittani Lowe three.
Logan closes out the regular season on Friday at county rival Man in a 1 p.m. contest.
Chapmanville concludes at Sherman tonight.
Next week, its sectional tournament time for Logan County’s three girls’ teams.
Man High School’s Lady Billies are set to play in a six-team Class A sectional at Williamson.
On Monday, Burch plays Williamson at 6 p.m. and Williamson takes on Van at 8 in first-round action.
Man and Gilbert both have opening-round byes.
The Lady Billies face the Burch/Matewan winner on Tuesday night, while Gilbert will battle with the Williamson-Van winner in the nightcap.
The two winners then advance to the championship game next Thursday, Feb. 26.
Logan is set to play in Class AAA Region 4 Section 2.
The Lady Cats have the No. 5 seed and are set to play Monday against No. 4 Cabell Midland.
On Wednesday, the Logan/Cabell Midland winner moves on to face No. 1 Huntington on Wednesday, Feb. 25. No. 3 Spring Valley then takes on No. 2 Lincoln County in the nightcap.
The two winners meet on Friday, Feb. 27 in the finals.
Chapmanville’s girls have the No. 4 seed and open the Class AA sectionals at Logan’s Willie Akers Arena against No. 5 Tug Valley on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
The winner then moves on to play No. 1 Scott on Wednesday at 6 p.m. In the nightcap, No. 2 Tolsia squares off against No. 3 Wayne.
The two semifinal round winners advance to the sectional championship game next Friday night, Feb. 27, at Logan.
