LONNIE CRAFT
LOGAN, W.Va. — Lonnie Craft, 81, of Logan, departed this life Wednesday, August 8, 2012, at Trinity Healthcare.
Born August 2, 1931, at Welch, he was a son of the late Leslie and Inez Thomas Craft. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Herbert Craft and James Craft, and sister-in-law, Betty Craft.
Mr. Craft was a Christian and attended the Logan Church of the Nazarene. He retired from the Logan Banner in 2005 after 55 years of service. In his younger years, he loved fishing on the Greenbrier River with his dad and brothers. He always had a grin on his face and a joke to tell.
Survivors include his brothers, Bob (Nancy) Craft and Russell (Sue) Craft; one sister, Peggy Carey; sister-in law, Janet Craft; nephews and nieces, Tammy Craft (Chet) Burgess, Herbert (Kathy) Craft, Robert (Carrol) Craft, Harold (Kim) Craft Porter, Patty (Don) Hall, John Carey, David Carey and Donna Carey; great-nephews, Derick Burgess, Dekota Craft, Hannah Craft, Sydney Thacker, Aaron Porter, Camron Hall, and Jimmy (Ginny) Hall; cousins, Jim (Betty ) Jordan, David (Debbie) Tupis, and Pete Tupis, and his aunt, Opal Tupis.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 13, at Logan Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Larry Cale officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be form 6-9 p.m. Sunday at Honaker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Robert Craft, Chet Burgess, Austin Craft, Herbert Craft, Aaron Porter, Derrick Gleason, Jim Craft.
Honorary Pallbearers will be men of The Church of the Nazarene.
The family would like to thank the staff at Trinity Healthcare for their kindness and care for Lonnie over the past year.
