IRONTON, Ohio — Dustin Lee Spry, 16, of Ironton, Ohio, departed this life Sunday, August 12, 2012, in Ironton.

Born July 6, 1996, in Huntington, he was a son of Brian Spry of Whitman and Melissa Vance of Ironton, formerly of Harts.

Preceding him in death was his grandmother, Judith Porter Spry, and his great-grandparents, Stella and Lee Vance and Noah and Dollie Spry.

Dustin enjoyed fishing, 4-wheeling, and hanging out with his family and friends.

Additionally, those left to cherish his memory include his grandparents, Charles (Sue) Vance of Mill Creek, Phyllis Collins of Mud Fork and Roy Spry of Ranger; step-parents, Connie Spry and Mike Sharp; his father figure, Tim Cade; four sisters, Julie Shay Spry, Candice Kelly, Destine Cade and London Cade; four brothers, Brian K. Spry Jr., Mike Sharp, Joe Sharp and Chris Jeffery; two aunts, Amy Pritchard and Becky Orme; three nieces, Chole Jenkins, Riley Stapleton and Ella Kelly; two nephews, Chase and Coleton Jeffery; 14 cousins, Zack and Savannah Orme, Tyler Sperry, Josh Spry, Keith Thompson, Chris, Ted and Zack Rakes, Hannah and Kelsey Sperry, Mandy Spry, Bethany Rakes, and Emily Brooks; his step-children, Zachary Wicker and Lacey Arthur; and his girlfriend, Natayle Arthur.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 16, at Freeman Funeral Home with John Godby and Calvin S. Porter officiating. Burial will follow at Vance Cemetery at Dry Branch of Ranger.

Visitation will be from 6-10 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Julie Spry, Bryan Spry Jr., Charles Orme, Tyler Sperry and Zack Orme.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Sharp, Josh and Charlie Vance, Greg and Richie Pritchard, Tim Cade and Bud Spry.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
