CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Bethany Dingess-Soots, formerly of Chapmanville, was named to the Dean’s List with Honors at Lee University for the Fall 2008 semester. Students with a semester grade point average of 3.9 or higher are named to the Dean’s List with Honors.

Bethany is a 2003 graduate of Chapmanville High School where she was active in the arts. While at CHS, she was listed in Who’s Who Among American High School Students, participated in the 2001 Governor’s School for the Arts, a member of the All State and All County Chorus, and awarded “superior” scores at the WV Music Educators Assn Solos & Ensembles Festivals.

Prior to transferring to Lee University, Bethany attended University of Charleston, where she received an honor award for “Outstanding First-Year Music Major.” She was also a member of the University Singers and Concert Choir.

At Lee University, Bethany majored in Music Education with K-12 teacher licensure. She participated in the Lee University Honor’s Recital and was also a member of the Lee University Chorale and Campus Choir.

Bethany is the daughter of Rev. Stacy and Debbie Dingess of Chapmanville and the wife of Jonathan David Soots of Cleveland, Tenn.
