CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mr. Clyde “Bob” Frye, 88, of Pigeon Roost Road of Chapmanville, was born March 30, 1924, at Logan, a son of the late Cecil and Bertha Tomblin Frye. He departed this life Friday, August 24, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center.
Also preceding him in death was his wife, Madeline Frye, and daughter, Yvonne Ford.
Mr. Frye was a retired coal miner, a member of the UMWA, a veteran of the US Army serving during World War II and a Christian.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Ed) Jicha of Chicago, Ill.; sons, Jackie (Brenda) Frye of Verdunville, Jerry (Willa) Frye of McConnell and Billy (Tammy) Frye of Pigeon Roost Road; brother, Fred Frye of Crooked Creek; sister, Grace Cunningham of Ohio; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, August 27, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor Josh Vanhook officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be from 6-9 today at the funeral home.
