MAN — The Logan High School golf team won a five-team meet last week at the Triadelphia Country Club in Man.
Logan finished with a 151. Man and Tug Valley tied for second place as each had a 190. Chapmanville Regional (174) and Mingo Central (203) followed.
Eric Burnett had a 35 to lead Logan and was the medalist for the match. Sam Corns had a 36, Chase Preston a 38 and Nick McDonald a 42.
Bailey Beckwith and T.J. Williams each led Man with a 41 for the day. John Collins had a 49, while Nick Adams shot a 59 and Addison Gillispie a 63.
Jacob Workman led Chapmanville with a 40. William Copley had a 44, Austin Frye and Forrest Roberts each had a 45, while Mackinzie Morton had a 56.
Tug Valley was led by Joe Deskins who fired a 38. Brandon Moore had a 48, Alex Muncy a 50, Tristen Maynard a 54, Chandler Runyon a 61 and Zack McCloud a 62.
Dalton Hatfield paced Mingo Central with a 47. Robby Harris and Kyler Surber each had a 50. Zack Blackburn and Alex Warden each had a 56. Kyle Hatfield finished with a 65. Tyler Evans had a 69.
Earlier in the week, Man defeated both Mingo Central and Tug Valley in a triangular match. The Hillbillies had a 199, led by medalist Williams. Tug Valley scored a 223 and Mingo Central a 210.
Beckwith had a 50 for Man. Collins shot a 51, Adams a 55 and Gillispie a 63.
Dalton Hatfield had a 50 for the Miners. Blackburn and Harris each shot a 52, while Dakota Rawls and Surber each had a 56. Warden had a 57, Kyle Hatfield a 68 and Evans a 71.
Maynard paced the TVHS Panthers with a 47. Moore finished with a 54, Muncy a 55 and Zack McCloud a 67.
