LORADO, W.Va. — Wade Adam Maynard, 49, of Lorado, went to be with the Lord Monday, February 23, 2009, from his home after a long illness.

Born October 12, 1959, at Man, he was a son of Barbara Wooten Maynard Neace of Kistler and the late Roy Maynard. Also preceding him in death was one sister, Brookie Adkins; one brother, Roy Lee Maynard Jr., and one grandson, Justin Maynard.

Wade was a heavy equipment operator who worked for Marcum Trucking and Stollings Trucking before he became disabled. He was a member of the Crown Pentecostal Church. Wade loved the mountains of West Virginia and knew how to live in them. When he was able, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and 4-wheeling.

Additionally, those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 30 years, Teena Hinkle Maynard; two daughters, Terena (Robert) Cantrell of Portland, Tenn., and Elva (Troy) Maynor of Bruno; his step-father, James Neace of Kistler; five brothers, Richard (Connie) Maynard of Brecksville, Ohio, Tom (Becky) Maynard of Man, Henry (Peggy) Maynard of Lorado, Frank (Cindy) Maynard of Amherstdale and Scott (Jennifer) Maynard of Logan; three sisters, Rose Morgan of Kistler, Martha (Charlie) Burgess of Spruce Creek and Lottie (Butch) McQuithy of Landville; six grandsons, Wade Michael Maynard, Ryan Cantrell, Tyler Cantrell, Austin Maynard, T.J. Maynor and Brandon Maynor; one granddaughter, Teena Marie Maynor; his parents-in-law, David and Betty Hinkle of Bruno; sister-in-law and special caregiver, Melinda Hinkle (fiancé Todd Cantrell); sisters- and brothers-in-law, Carolyn Snyder and Cheryl Hinkle, both of Denver, Colo., David Hinkle and Lisa and Tommy Arthur, all of Kistler, and Cathy and Rob Fox of Amherstdale; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, February 27, at the Crown Pentecostal Church with Pastor Randy Harvey officiating and eulogy by Brother Tommy Booth. Burial will follow in Home Sweet Home Cemetery at Lorado.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home, 115 Market St., Man, WV 25635, to help with funeral expenses.
