LARRY DINGESS

CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mr. Larry Andrew Dingess, 61, of Chapmanville, was born July 17, 1951, at Holden, a son of Lakie Gore Dingess of Chapmanville and the late Andrew Dingess. He departed this life Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at Logan Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Dingess was a retired and disabled coal miner, a mason, and member of the UMWA. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play ball, being on the computer, hanging out at his cabin, hunting, and fishing. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren.

Additional survivors include his wife, Shirley June Nelson Dingess; three children, Whitney (Todd) Stollings and Andrew Taylor (Dawn) Dingess, both of Chapmanville, and Shane (Amanda) Dingess of Madison; sisters, Judith Peyton of Culloden, Janet McComas of Ohio, and LaDonna Lowe, Anita Semaru and Linda Johnson, all of Chapmanville; two grandchildren, Jordan Dingess and Autumn Farley; special nephew, Brian Peyton and his special dog, Sugar.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 1, at the Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Harry Dingess and LaDonna Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in the Dingess Cemetery at Chapmanville.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jared Lowe, Jimmy Baisden, Brian Peyton, Steve Tabor, Josh Vance and Todd Stollings

Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Stollings, Jeremy McNelly, Wes Crum, Jarod Vance, Joe Nelson, Algie Hoosier, Bill McComas, Gene Peyton and Don Lowe

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
