CYCLONE, W.Va. — Wilfred Wesley Perry, 52, of Cyclone, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center at Huntington.

Born August 26, 1960, in Mullens, he was a son of Billy Ray and Bobbie Carter Perry. Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Marshall Hayes and Inez Christian Perry; maternal grandparents, Garland Bud and Stella Brinegar Carter; uncles Buddy, Sherwood and Von Perry, and Roy, Buddy and Roger Carter, and aunt, Helen Workman.

Will was a 1978 graduate of Oceana High School, where he was a member of the baseball team. He enjoyed playing video games, listening to gospel music, watching the Yankees and Braves with his dad, playing with his nephews Josh, Coleton, Andrew and Jackson and playing cards with his special aunt, Darlene Perry. When able, Will attended the Cyclone Missionary Baptist Church.

Additional survivors include his paternal grandmother, Rosie Toler Perry; a brother, Brian (Robin) Perry of Accoville; five sisters, Gloria Brinkley of Cyclone, Karen (Pat) Browning of Cooks Addition, Erma (Tim) Mutters of Oceana, and Teresa (Timmy Jo) Justice and Jenny Mathis of Pratt; nieces and nephews, Lil’ Pat Browning, Tessa Brinkley, Stephanie Browning, Joshua Mutters, Christin Mathis, Timothy Mutters, T.J. Justice, Kelsey Mathis, Trey Mathis, Lil’ Joshua Perry, T.J. Hoosier, Andrew Backus, Savannah Goodwin, Coleton Browning, Kayln Diegert, Keelyn Osborne, Bristol Florence and Luxley Mutters; his little buddy, Jackson West, and a special caregiver of 11 years, Vanessa Buckland. Will is also survived by many special aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends of which there are too many to mention.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, September 4, at the Cyclone Missionary Baptist Church with Stephen Walls and Brian Perry officiating. He will be laid to rest in Palm Memorial Gardens at Matheny.

Friends may gather with the family from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Stafford Family Funeral Home at Lynco and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Lil’ Pat Browning, Joshua Mutters, T.J. Hoosier, Timothy Mutters, T.J. Justice and Trey Mathis.

Flower girls will be Tessa Brinkley, Stephanie Florence, Christin Mathis and Kelsye Mathis.
