RALPH OSBORNE
PIGEON CREEK, W.Va. — Ralph Vernon Osborne, 51, of Pigeon Creek, formerly of Lorado, departed this life Wednesday, August 29, 2012, from Cornerstone Hospital at Huntington after a brief illness.
Born May 30, 1961, at Man, he was a son of the late Roy Haze and Atla Mae Lusk Osborne. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Kenneth Lee Osborne; two brothers-in-law, Harvey Pierson and George Georges,and one nephew, Edward Ray Osborne.
Ralph was a talented sawyer, formerly employed with the Everett Hannah Lumber Company at Pigeon Creek. He was a member of the Orville Holiness Church at Rum Creek for eight years where he played the guitar and sang in the church band. He enjoyed being involved in the football, basketball, and baseball teams of his son, Isaac Hayes. The “mother hen” of his life was his daughter, Jamie Lynn, who shared with him her love of reading and helped with his care. He shared a special bond with his first born, Tiffany Mae, who opened her home and helped care for him during his time of need. His best friend, Don Elkins, took him “under his wing” and provided needed support.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved children, Tiffany Mae Osborne, Jamie Lynn Osborne, and Isaac Hayes Osborne, all of Williamson; three grandchildren, Brooklynn Hope Dials, Alexis Faith Dials and Serenity Love Osborne, all of Williamson; two sisters, Erma Mary “Shirley” Georges of Columbus, Ohio, and Edna Ruth Pierson of Accoville; two brothers, Roy E. (Genevieve) Osborne of Lorado and Charles William (Nancy) Osborne of Shady Springs; one special sister-in-law, Mary Ann Osborne of Amherstdale; his good friend and mother of his children, Louise Gore Cline of Turkey Creek, Ky.; many nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, September 3, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walter Hawkins and Rev. Robbie Hawkins officiating. Burial will follow in Daniels Cemetery at Curtis.
Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home, 115 Market St., Man, WV 25635 to help with his funeral expenses.
