CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — The ladies of Calvary Baptist church at Chapmanville have a very active quilting ministry. Over the past five years the ladies have volunteered their time and God-given talents to make approximately 1,000 quilts.

These quilts are donated, free of charge, to hospice patients and the children of St. Jude's Hospital. As a group of quilts are finished they are dedicated to God's work and a special prayer is said for the patients and families who will receive them.

In this ministry, the ladies know the quilts have no healing power in themselves, but hope to show God's love and bring a little comfort to the patients and their families.
