A Chapmanville man has been charged with failure to report earnings by Workforce West Virginia.


According to the complaint, David W. Ramey, 42, allegedly “failed to report his work and earnings from employment with Wal-Mart Associates Inc.” for the week August 27-Sept. 3.


As a result, Ramey received a total of $1,040 in benefits he was not entitled to. His bail was set at $2,500.


In other court news:


• Leslie Eugene Adams, 39, of Pecks Mill, was arrested and charged with burglary on Aug. 30 by West Virginia State Trooper J.K. Harris. He is being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail on a $7,500 bail.


• Randal Cecil Bobbitt, 47, of Verner, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance on Aug. 31 by Logan County Sheriff Deputies J.N Sheppard and J.M. Miller. He was released on a $3,000 bond.


• Joshua Ryan Parsons, 19, of Mallory, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver on Aug. 31 by WVSP Tpr. R.E. Stowers. He was released on a $7,500 bail.


• Michael Ritchie, 28, of Chapmanville, was arrested and charged with obstructing, public intoxication and brandishing on Sept. 1 by West Virginia State Trooper R.E. Stowers. He was released on a $2,500 bail.


• Bobby Joseph Shepherd, 21, of Mt. Gay, was arrested and charged with DUI and failure to maintain on Sept. 2 by Logan County Deputies J.N. Shepperd and J.M. Miller. He was released on a $2,000 bond.


• Jonathan Blake Justice, 27, of Stollings, was arrested and charged with daytime burglary and petit larceny on Sept. 2 by Logan County Sheriff Deputies N.M. Booth and F.N. Ferrell II. He is being held on a $7,500 bail in the Southwestern Regional Jail.


• Tabbetha Lester, 38, of Hanover, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on Sept. 4 by City of Logan Patrolman E. Maynard. She was released on a $500 bond.


• Cody M. Hurley, 25, of Bruno was arrested and charged with obstructing by Logan County Sheriff Deputies T.R. Brumfield and J.H Brown III on Sept. 4. He was released on a $1,000 bond.


• Bryan Keith Lewis, 20, of Stollings, was arrested and charged with domestic assault and domestic battery on Sept. 5, by WVSP Tpr. J.K. Harris. He was released on a $2,500 bond.
