Ralph and Brenda Barker Hamrick of West Chester, Ohio recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family in Honolulu, Hawaii. They were married September 22, 1962, in West Logan.
They have two children, Chris Hamrick of Columbus, Ohio and Betsy Hamrick (Stefan) Haller of Vienna, Austria, and three grandchildren, Chloe (Sean) Williams of Okemos, Mich., and Ellen Hamrick and Neil Hamrick, both of Athens.
Ralph is the son of the late Oather and Rhoda Hamrick of Garretts Fork and retired as a lab technician from Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati. Brenda is the daughter of the late Frank and Theo Barker of Barker’s Fork, and she is a retired elementary school teacher and administrator. She taught at Barker School, on Garrett’s Fork, and at Deer Park Schools and North College Hill Schools in Cincinnati.
