Apple Butter Festival begins Fri.

CHAPMANVILLE — The Town of Chapmanville will host their annual Apple Butter Festival Friday and Saturday on the grounds around the Chapmanville Municipal Building.

Area veteran’s organizations will open the festival with the presenting of the colors at 5 p.m. Friday.

Saturday’s entertainment begins early with the 6th annual Chapmanville on the Move walk beginning at 9 a.m. and the Chapmanville Cub Scout Pack 28 pancake breakfast from 8 a.m.-noon.

Throughout the day vendors will be selling arts and crafts, food and more. Live entertainment will include local favorites Street Players and the Easy Street Band. There will also be the Lincoln County Cloggers, the Jim Dillon Band, Fully Justified and more.

For the kids there will be inflatables. For the auto enthusiasts, a car show will be held with registration from 2-5 p.m. Saturday. Other entertainment includes a Coal River model train display, NWA Professional Wrestling and a mechanical bull to ride.

The finale will be fireworks beginning at dusk on Saturday.

Of course, the main focus of the festival will be apple butter which will be made on site by Four Season Country Store.
