VARNEY, W.Va. — Michael Paul West, 33, of Varney, departed this life Thursday, September 27, 2012, at Appalachian Regional Hospital at South Williamson, Ky.
He was a son of Marsha Lowe West of Varney and the late Rev. R.A. West.
Michael was a heavy equipment operator and on the Safety Team for Coal Mac.
Additional survivors include one brother, Jason (Stephanie) West of Varney; grandmother Virginia Swain Stone of Varney; aunts and uncles, Enoch (Sherry) Newsome of Williamson, George (Rhonda) Bailey of Chillicothe, Ohio, Charles (Phyllis) West of Williamson, and Christine Sullivan of Shelbyville, Ky.; two nephews, Jason and Joseph West, also of Varney, and many cousins and friends.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, September 30, at Varney Fundamental Christian Church with Brother’s Jay West, Enoch Newsome and Bill Snodgrass officiating. Burial will follow at the West Family Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Pallbearers will be family, friends and Coal Mac employees.
