LITTLE HARTS, W.Va. — Ersel Ward Toppins, 67, of Little Harts, departed this life Thursday, October 18, 2012, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington.
Born April 8, 1945, in Gilbert, he was a son of the late Wilford and Stella Toppins. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Wilford Toppins Jr., and one sister, Violet Lynn Neace.
Ersel enjoyed four wheeling, fishing trips and family get-togethers.
Those left to cherish his memory include two sisters, Winnie Dye and Betty Lou Fleming, and two brothers, Grady Toppins and Larry Allen Toppins.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, October 22, at Freeman Funeral Home with Frankie Frye and Paul Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at Webb Cemetery at Ranger.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
