Man volleyball wins 3-0 over county rival Logan

MAN — The Man High School volleyball team toppled county rival Logan 25-8, 25-4 , 25-20 on Monday night to win its Senior Night match at the Man Memorial Fieldhouse.

Man improved to 24-12 on the season with the victory.

The Lady Billies had went 2-3 over the weekend in a tournament held at Buffalo.

Man’s JV team also won over Logan, 25-20, 25-22.

Man honored its four senior players at Monday night’s match — Summer Sword, Morgan Church, Abby Lusk and Tiara Owens.

“There was a nice crowd,” Lady Billies’ coach Orlando Washington said. “It was a good way to send our four seniors — Summer Sword, Morgan Church, Abby Lusk and Tiara Owens — out.”

The Lady Billies were scheduled to close out the season on Tuesday night at Westside.

Man then takes part in the Class A sectionals at Greater Beckley Christian.

Logan, coached by first-year mentor Chelsey Stockdale, were slated to host Sissonville on Tuesday night. The Lady Cats then host Sherman on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the regular season finale and Senior Night match.
