LOGAN – Families gather during the holidays to share favorite memories and traditions, many of which are dishes made using favorite recipes. Make a new memory by having that favorite recipe included in the Annual Holiday Cookbook and winning up to $100.

The Logan Banner is having its annual Holiday Baking Contest. Categories: desserts, breads/rolls, meats, vegetables, sauces, dips, candies, casseroles, salads and appetizers. Three grand prizes will be awarded: a $100 gift certificate from Pic-Pac of Man; a $50 gift certificate from Food City of So. Williamson, Ky.; and a $25 gift certificate from Food Land of Madison. All recipes will be published in the Annual Holiday Cookbook, which will be published on Wed., Nov.14.

“Everyone looks forward to getting these recipes every year,” said B.J. Beaty, “They become those favorites that are enjoyed this year and then passed down from generation to generation.”

Get out those index cards, stained cookbooks, and napkins or labels that hold those favorite holiday recipes and give everyone a chance to try them.
