GAHANNA, Ohio — Dolores Marie Jack Luptak, 82, of Gahanna, Ohio, formerly of Charleston and Holden, passed away Friday morning, November 2, 2012, at her home surrounded by family.

Born June 7, 1930, in Charleston, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Ruth Jack. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Stephen; son, Michael; daughter, Dottie, and sisters, Jean Simpson and Joan Hall.

Dolores was a former secretary at Whitman Grade School. While living in Holden she was a member of the Holden Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and was also a member of the Holden Women’s and Garden Clubs. While living in Columbus, Dolores worked as the executive assistant, office manager and head bookkeeper the law firm of Carlile, Patchen, Murphy and Allison for 25 years.

Survivors include her sons, Steve (Linda) of Kansas City, Mo., and John (Leah) of Grand Terrace, Calif.; daughters, Patty (Steve) McBride of Huntington and Peggy at home; grandchildren, Johnny and Valerie, Matthew McBride, Stephanie (Jonathan) Humphreys, Jennifer and Sean Luptak, Jessica and Justin (Sabrina) Spears, and great-grandchildren, Alyssa Stephens, Jarod, Trent, Cole and Hailey Luptak, Annalise and Noah Humphreys and Trace Spears.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, November 5, at Schoedinger Mortuary in Gahanna. Burial will follow in the Union Cemetery in Columbus, Ohio.

Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m.

Mom, I love and misss you so very much. I know this is to get easier with time, but my heart is shattered, and I don;t think I will ever be the same. I am mourning You, Daddy, Michael, baby Michael, Dottie, Aunt Jean, Diana, Aunt Joan, Uncle Clifford,Uncle Joe, Mace, Pawpaw,Mawmaw, My friend Christy who was murdered @ age 14. and so many more. Please pray that God will take me to heaveb soon, I can't bare the thoughr of being alone any more, I love you and I miss you and I want to be with you so badly.
