VERDUNVILLE — It took more than one fire department to free entrapped motorists after an accident that happened early Saturday morning.

Logan Fire Chief Scott Beckett said they were called to the scene of the accident around 7 a.m. to assist in getting injured motorists out of the vehicle.

According to Beckett, the accident occurred when an unknown vehicle caused the damaged vehicle to go off the road and into a tree. Occupants of the vehicle were taken to the hospital with what appeared to be severe injuries.

Logan County Deputy Sheriff Joe Lyall is investigating the incident.
