LOGAN — Repairs, paving and upgrades continue to affect Logan traffic patters and will continue to do so for the next few weeks.
Completion of the Mt. Gay bridge causes traffic patterns to change from day to day. The Boulevard was down to one lane on either side for awhile as the gas company put in a new line. The Logan water company also has to move one of its intake facilities upstream and the power company will be moving street lights.
The city is also getting new traffic lights, which will have delays to give pedestrians time to clear the street. Sidewalk upgrades are being completed to bring them up to meet the American Disability Association requirements. Crosswalks are also being added for the safety of pedestrians.
The city has removed parking spaces on Dingess Street to relieve congestion.
Pedestrians and motorists need to be patient and use extra caution moving around Logan until these projects are completed.
