CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Mrs. Glenna Faye Adams Hargis, 61, of Chapmanville, departed this life Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at her residence surrounded by family and friends.

Born May 29, 1951, at Logan, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Dicie Adams. Also preceding her in death was her husband, David Hargis, on November 5, 2001; brother, Gary Keith Adams, on August 25, 1947; her paternal grandparents, Frank and Susan Mullins Adams, and her maternal grandparents, Sewell and Letilda Mullins Adams.

Mrs. Hargis was a 1969 graduate of Chapmanville High School, received her B.A. Degree in 1974 and her M.A. Degree in 1980 from Marshall University. She was a teacher at West Chapmanville Grade School for nearly 20 years. She was a member of the WVEA and LCEA. In recent years Mrs. Hargis was a substitute teacher in Logan County Schools. She was a member of the Chapmanville Church of Christ.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Sharon Kaye Adams of Chapmanville; sister-in-law, Margaret June Bell of Chapmanville; aunt, Freda Chapman of Proctorville, Ohio; uncle, Billy Adams of Barboursville; special cousins, Euvalee Hainer, Letilda Richards, Lilly St. Clair, Kathy Bowen, Adrian Mullins, Gaie Adams, Debbie Pemberton, Susie Pennington, Janet Spencer and Yvonne Hensley; special friends, Kelli Bowen, Michelle Bowen and Cush Adams, and several cousins and friends.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, November 16, at Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville with Mr. Johnny Steele, minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the Frank and Susan Adams Cemetery at Harts.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services at Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.

My dearest regards to Mrs. Hargis' family. She had many of my children over the years at West Chapmanville Grade. Many prayers from the Adkins family.
