W.Va. Sen. Art Kirkendoll is required to take his oath of office at the Capitol in Charleston, but his friends and family gathered at the Logan County Courthouse Monday to hear him take the oath locally. His family stood close by and looked on as his wife Barbara held the Bible and Judge Eric O’Briant administered the oath. Kirkendoll says he loves the people and will always take care of the children and seniors and listen to everyone. He takes pride in his “Open Door” policy and welcomes anyone who comes to see him.
