MUNCIE, Ind. — Jerry F. Bryant, 59, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 17, 2009, at his residence.

Born October 19, 1949, in Logan, he was a son of the late Anderson and Rinda Perry Bryant Ramey. Also preceding him in death was one sister, Lola Rose Ellen Ramey, in 1996.

Mr. Bryant had worked for Kaiser Plating as a laborer. He enjoyed traveling, riding his bicycle, country music and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include one son, Amos Bryant of West Virginia; one daughter, Rebekah Hayes (fiancé Seth Shockley) of Muncie; two grandchildren, Jayden and Kameryn Shockley, both of Muncie; two brothers, Leonard (Laura) Bryant Sr. of Muncie and Michael Ramey of Logan; two sisters, Sandra (Edgar) Johnson of Taplin and Wanda (Robert) Shell of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 23, at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Rev. Doris Westerman officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until time of services Monday at the mortuary.
