HOLDEN, W.Va. — James Kenneth “KJ” Nunley, 62, of Holden, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at Pikeville Medical Center.

Born September 8, 1950, in Pike County, Ky., he was a son of Jenny Allen Nunley of Holden and the late Teddie D. Nunley. Also preceding him in death was his brother, Jerry Nunley.

KJ was a U.S. veteran, a coal miner, and a loving son, father, brother and uncle.

Additional survivors include his daughter, Jessica (John) Newman of Chesapeake, Ohio; two sisters, Janet Houck and Gail (Tom) Marcum, both of Holden; one brother, Dencil (Brenda) Nunley of Monaville; five nieces; four nephews; eight great-nieces, and six great-nephews.

Services will be held at noon Friday, December 28, at James Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. noon Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, family is requesting donations be made to James Funeral Home.

James Funeral Home of Aracoma is in charge of arrangements.

Uncle Kenny was the best. I only met u a few times but ill.never forget u. Im praying for all my family. Rest in peace uncle kenny love Amanda

Aunt jenny always made all of us from mi feel at home, i have the greatest memories of everyone and many of dear cousin kenny. Kenny,jerry and dent always showed me fun times. Time flys. Im thinking of everyone at this time n especially aunt Jenny. Cousin kenny had the greatest smile. Love cuzin ricky
