MAN – Logan County Sheriff’s Deputy T. R. Brumfield arrested Curtis Ball, 46, on charges of domestic battery and battery.

When the deputy answered the 911 call at Kistler, he spoke with Cindy Bowyer, Ball’s girlfriend, and she told him Ball came in and started hitting her in the face and head. When Matt Farley tried to stop Ball, he turned on him and started punching him in the face, cutting his left eye.

The officer spoke with Ball and noted he had blood on his right hand.

Ball also had an outstanding warrant for an incident that occurred on Nov. 14, 2012. Man Police Department officers J. D. Thomas and Chief David Walls attempted to stop Ball on Rt. 16. The officers called to check the license tag, which had been reported stolen.

The accused fled into the mountain in the vehicle, where he was apprehended. During the investigation, officers learned the license plate had been stolen and altered and the motor vehicle inspection sticker as well

Ball was charged with forgery, motor vehicle inspection and registration violation.

Bond has been set at $5,000.
