KISTLER, W.Va. Clyde Pete Gent, 59, of Kistler, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013, at his residence. Born October 23, 1953, at Man, he was a son of the late Clyde Parsons and Wrilda Till Nelson Ogle and her husband, John. Also preceding him in death was his loving step-father, John Ogle; one son, Benjamin John Gent, and his grandparents, John and Maggie Gent. Pete served as a member of the U.S. Air Force and was a proud veteran. He then went on to work as a coal miner in the coal fields of West Virginia and finished his career as a car salesman. Pete enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchild. He also enjoyed ATV riding, NASCAR, motorcycles and WWF. Those left to cherish his memory include two children, Tilah (Tommy) Moore of Logan and Zackery Gent of Man; one granddaughter, Jessica Fleming of Logan; five brothers, Russell Toler of Man, Rev. Ollie (Denise) Parsons and Hugh Parsons, both of Charleston, James Lawson (Teresa) Ogle of Chapmanville, and Jeffery (Norma) Ogle of Gilbert; two sisters, Johnnie Melinda Parsons (William Buddy) Flippin of Morehead City, N.C., and Judith Ogle Mellinger of New Mexico; 10 nieces; four nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 19, at the Kistler Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Frazier officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
