CHAPMANVILLE – Chapmanville held a special council meeting on January 29 to select an architectural firm for the Tracy Vickers Community Complex Project.

The applications were screened and the top three firms chosen to be interviewed: McKinley & Associates; E.L. Robinson Engineering and L.R. Kimball, who later asked to be removed from consideration.

When the interviews were completed, the council voted unanimously to award the contract to E.L. Robinson Engineering.

In other business, the council also approved two resolutions allowing Mayor Jerry Price authority to execute documents related to a $3,000 grant and a $1,000 street equipment grant.

Brian Kirkendoll, Project Coordinator, is working with the W.Va. Development Office’s Community Participation Grant Program.
