BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. — Opal Plumey, 91, of Barboursville, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013, at home.

Born December 9, 1921, at Joe’s creek, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Hans and Laura Gilliam Stratton. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Billie Plumley; one son, and three brothers.

Opal was a retired Logan County School teacher and of the Church of Christ faith.

Survivors include Donald Plumley of Barboursville, Randy (Roselee) Plumley of Putnam County, Ronald (Duanne) ) Plumley of Chapmanville, William Rodney Plumley of Texas, and Roger (Mary) Plumley of Indianapolis, Ind.; two sisters, Gail (Clancy) Goff of Joe’s Creek, and Christine Blankenship of Paintsville, Ky., and nine grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 19, at Collins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donnie Estepp officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Pallbearers are family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
