MUD FORK, W.Va. — Mr. Dallas Bradford “Brad” Curry, 58, of Mud Fork, was born September 1, 1954, at Logan, a precious son of Helen Scaggs Curry of Mud Fork and the late Dallas Curry. He went to be with Jesus Thursday, February 28, 2013, at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.

Preceding him in death was his dad, Dallas, in 1982; his brother, Butchie Curry, in 2008; maternal grandparents, Woodrow and Ruby Scaggs; paternal grandparents, Bill and Hattie Curry, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brad was a coal miner for Island Creek Coal Company and Piston Coal.

Additional survivors include his daughters and grandchildren, Brandy (Steve) Williams of South Point, Ohio, and children, Allison and Nate, Kellie Curry and Chris Codispoti of Taplin, and children, Kelsey, Kayla, Brandon and Hayden; the two children he raised as his own, Dallas Louise Childress and Sheila Ann Childress, both of Mud Fork; girlfriend, Ellen Childress; brothers, Eddie Curry of Mud Fork and Josh (Kim) Curry of Omar; sisters, Shelia Romine of Mud Fork and Angie Cottrill of Charleston; several nieces and nephews, including his fishing buddies, nephews Chris Curry, Dallas Borders, Derek Vance and BJ Thompson, and many friends who loved him and will miss him always.

In accordance with Brad’s wishes, his last remains have been cremated.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is serving the Curry family in carrying out Brad’s wishes.
