HENLAWSON, W.Va. — Mr. Joseph Willis Farmer, 67, of Henlawson, was born May 10, 1945, at Henlawson, a son of the late William Martin and Mary Cindy Mainer Farmer. He departed his life Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Mr. Farmer was a retired coal miner and electrician, a member of the UMWA and a member of the Trinity Freewill Baptist Church at Henlawson.
Also preceding him in death was his wife, Jeanetta Gail Farmer on November 29, 2012; sisters, Patricia, Frances and Nora Farmer; four half-brothers, Albert, Leward, Howard and Lawrence Farmer, and four half-sisters, Louise Justice Farmer, Ethel Schoenheide, Essie Waldon and Hallie Stapelton.
Survivors include his children, Nicole (Jerry) Dingess of Henlawson, Richard Leroy (Nicole) Morris III, serving the US Army stationed in El Paso, Texas, and Connie Caldwell, Michael Farmer, Robin Vance, Regina Collins, Elizabeth Hager and Angela Adkins, all of Logan; brothers, Harold Farmer of Coal Branch at Logan, William Farmer Jr. of Cleveland, Ohio, and Charles Ray and James Lester Farmer, both of Henlawson; sisters, Mary Jewell Spears of Lima, Ohio, and Barbara Sanford of Florida; half-brothers, Clifton and Clayton Wallace, both of Cleveland, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, at Trinity Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Damron officiating.

Evans Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Chapmanville is serving the Farmer family in handling all their arrangements.
