Logan Regional Medical Center Auxiliary holds regular January meeting on Saturday, January 31St at First Presbyterian Church, with Larry Roark, president, presiding.

A delicious luncheon, catered by Granny Jack's, was served to auxilians and guests following invocation given by Auxilian Cecil Willis. Tables were beautifully decorated with a Valentine motif created by Beverly Roark.

President Roark introduced and welcomed back former auxilians Barbara Brown and June Burns, who rejoined the auxiliary, and gave a welcome to new member Gladys Vance.

Mr. Roark announced the appointment of a nominating committee which will select a class of officers for 2009-2010 which will be announced at April meeting at which time new officers will be elected. The committee is composed of Nora Bailey, chairperson, Nora Willis and Lettie Brescoach.

Auxilians who celebrated birthdays during December, January and February were recognized by Joyce Childers and Midge Cox. Those celebrating were Cecil Willis, Effie White, Karen Dingess, Joyce Childers, Emoline Coleman, Geraldine Smith, Lettie Brescoach, Midge Cox, Beverly Roark, Jane Watkins, Mary Perry and Dale Whitt.

Door prizes were won by Roscoe Adkins, Mickey Wilson, Sue Dunn, Delores Murray, Hazel Browning, Jonell Baisden, Gay Cook, Nora Bailey, Barbara Brown, June Burns, Nora Willis, Mabel Jude, Doris Jarrell, Mildred McGlothen and Macelene Smith.

Nora Bailey led the group with the reading in unison of the Auxiliary Prayer before the meeting was adjourned.
