WILKESVILLE, Ohio — Maxine Bailey, 85, of Wilkesville Community in Wilkesville, Ohio, passed away Monday, April 1, 2013, at her residence.

Born September 19, 1927, in Chapmanville, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Brooke Butcher Bryant. Also preceding her in death was the loving father of her children, Wilbert Bailey Sr.; three sons: Michael Ray, David and Ronald Bailey; three brothers: Lewis Butcher, and John and Thomas Bryant, and three sisters: Violet Jerrell, Addie White, and Lovaline Bryant.

Survivors include six sons: Wilbert Jr., of New Lexington, Ohio, Gregory (Kristine), Phillip, Brian (Amy) and Bradley (Jenny), all of Wilkesville, and Jack (Jody) of Hollywood, Md., and daughter, Barbara (Fred) Taylor of Wilkesville. She will be missed by 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at noon Saturday, April 6, at the McCoy-Moore Funeral Home in Vinton, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Curry Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
