The Logan Middle School softball team blanked county rival Man 8-0 on Wednesday at Man.


Alison Click, Kelsey Ward, Chelsea Napier and Stephanie Eplin had two hits each for Logan. Lexi Hines, Stefanie Curry, Ashtyn Hylton, Jaden Oney, Lara Elkins and Hannah Vance all had one hit for the Lady Wolves.


Ward was the starting and winning pitcher for LMS. She finished with six strikeouts.


Curry then came on in the fourth and fanned eight.


The Lady Wolves plated two runs in the first, two in the fourth, three in the fifth and one more in the seventh. Click, Curry and Ward each had triples in the fifth inning.


Several Logan Middle School players are having fine seasons at the plate.


Click leads the team with a .556 batting average. Hines, Vance and Ward each have .400 averages, while Curry and Eplin are each at .333. Napier has a .300 average. Oney has a perfect 1.000 average.


The Lady Wolves are slated to return to the diamond on Monday at Hurricane in a 5 p.m. doubleheader. LMS is then at Oceana on Wednesday for a 5 p.m. contest before coming home on Friday, April 12 to host county rival Chapmanville Middle School at 5:30 p.m. LMS is then at Ravenswood on April 13 for an 11 a.m. contest.
