The Chapmanville Regional High School girls’ softball team looks like it’s a force to be reckoned with.

The Lady Tigers improved to 5-0 on the season with a pair of wins this week.

Chapmanville, behind a perfect game from senior all-state pitcher Andi Williamson, won 2-0 at Wayne on Thursday night.

On Wednesday, the Lady Tigers were a 10-0 victor at home over Triple-A George Washington.

In last night’s game, Williamson struck out 19 batters and sat down 21 straight hitters for the perfect game.

“She was fantastic,” Chapmanville coach Ronnie Ooten said. “She’s really been pitching well.”

Lauren McCann was 2-for-3 at the plate for the Lady Tigers.

Bre Thomas, Tiffini Hale, Lauren Shumate and Williamson all had hits for Chapmanville.

In the victory over GW, freshman Allison Evans notched the win for Chapmanville. She went seven innings and allowed just one hit and two walks. She struck out eight.

Evans was also 2-for-3 at the plate as was her twin sister Jenna.

Williamson and Hale were also 2-for-3 for the Lady Tigers.

Poppy Ramey, Thomas and Shumate all added singles.

Chapmanville is scheduled to return to action tonight at 5:30 p.m. against 3A rival Lincoln County in the first game of the Lady Tigers Invitational at the Chapmanville Softball Complex.
