PIKEVILLE, Ky. — Gasoline prices fell a dime to $1.89 for a gallon of regular unleaded in nearby Pikeville, Ky., but gas prices are still at $2.15 throughout most of Logan County.
In Williamson on Friday, gas was priced at $2.07 for a gallon of regular unleaded. In Nitro and Cross Lanes, gas on Saturday was priced at $1.99 a gallon.
Gas prices were at $1.99 a week earlier. The price for a gallon of regular gas rose to $1.99 from $1.87 when gas prices in West Virginia skyrocketed from $2.05 to $2.15 in a day. But, unlike many southern West Virginia stations, gas fell a dime just a week later in Pikeville.
Gas was priced at $2.25 in Delbarton and $2.19 in Alum Creek in Lincoln County yesterday evening.
