Among the casualties were: the Chapmanville Regional High School baseball team’s game at rival Scott; the No. 1-ranked Man High School girls’ softball team’s contest at county rival Logan; the Chapmanville softball team’s game at Scott; the Logan baseball team’s game at Nitro; and the Man baseball team’s contest at Mountain State Academy. County teams will try to get back on the diamond Wednesday night. The No. 1-ranked Chapmanville Lady Tigers (2A) are scheduled to play Roane County today at 2:30 p.m. and Poca at 4:15 in the Best of the Best tourney at Buffalo. The CRHS baseball team is slated to host Poca today in a 4:30 p.m. doubleheader.
The Lady Cats, ranked No. 5 in the state in 3A, play at Wayne today at 5:30 p.m. and host Chapmanville on Thursday in a 5:30 p.m. makeup game. The Logan baseball team is slated to play a pair of games today at Riverside as the Cats face West Chester (N.Y.) at 4 p.m. and the Warriors at 7 p.m.
