Deputies make drug bust in Logan

Two people were charged Friday evening in Logan for selling drugs.
The Logan County Sheriff’s Department and the US 119 Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 565 Stratton Street, Apt 5., within the City of Logan. Upon execution of the search warrant officers found Wesley Terrane Whitehead, 22, of Columbus, Ohio, sitting on the couch. Officers secured Whitehead when they observed a clear plastic baggie containing approximately 17.7 grams of crack cocaine as well as a loaded .38 caliber revolver within his reach on the couch.
Upon searching Whitehead officer found a large amount of U.S. currency in his pocket. Officers also found ditigal scales commonly used for weighing narcotics during sales on the table in front of the couch. Whitehead had conspired with the apartment tenant who was found to be Keith Lee Bryant, 38, of Logan to sale crack cocaine from within Mr. Bryant’s residence.
Whitehead and Bryant are currently incarcerated in the Southwestern Regional Jail awaiting arraignment.
