I would like to bring to your attention an issue that happened a little time ago before Spring Break. The whole student body at Man High School was kept after school for a total of 30 minutes because a bus driver refused to go get the vocational students at the vocational school. So they had to call a bus in from Logan to come get the students.
Today, being a teenager, we hear all the time that this “new generation” is lazy, worthless, and just never wants to work. It would appear this situation would be just the opposite of that. The “adult” in the circumstance would be the lazy one. I formed a petition and half the student body signing it saying that they wanted to get an extra 30 minutes added on to their lunch break. Nothing ever happened. Students need to be led by example. Adults tell teenagers one thing and are talked down on all the time yet they have no example to go by.
Thank you for reading my letter.
